"answer": "AccioJob was founded in 2018 by Vishu Bansal, Harsh Sharma, Priyanshu Agarwal and Yashwardhan Burad, four IIT Delhi alumni.\\\r\nAll the founders were batchmates and friends from college since 2013.\\\r\nWe were passionate about solving for employability for Indian college graduates. Spent the first couple of years iterating in this space from selling software solutions to colleges to B2B training products to reaching product market fit with B2C online and offline upskilling programs.\r\n\r\nBefore starting up, founders were active in the higher education market, speaking at events, exhibitions, conferences and guiding students making critical career decisions. Felt strongly about the problem at hand and enjoyed the journey of creating something valuable for people."

"question": "What's the history of your company from getting started until the present day? What were the big inflection points?",
"answer": "AccioJob was founded in 2018 by four IIT Delhi alumni and joined Y Combinator in W19 batch.\r\n\r\n**2024 - the offline decision.** We moved from online only courses to offline centres enabling in person interaction, distraction free learning. \r\n\r\n**March, 2024 - first skill centre, Noida.** Learnt running an offline business. Refined pedagogies, build BTL GTM funnels, strengthened employer partnerships, made the centre run profitably in the first 8 months.\r\n\r\n**November, 2024 - October, 2025 expansion.** Skill centres in Hyderabad, Pune, Chennai, each near a live tech hiring market rather than in a metro centre for its own sake.\r\n\r\n**Today.** Three programmes — Data Analytics with Gen AI, AI Engineering with Full Stack, and Data Science and AI — with 2,000+ students placed across 500+ hiring partners."

"question": "What is the core problem you are solving? Why is this a big problem? What made you decide to work on it?",
"answer": "India graduates over a million engineers a year, and most of them never get a fair shot at a tech job. The gap is rarely ability - it's structured practice, real feedback, and access to companies that are actually hiring.\r\n\r\nOnline courses didn't close that gap. Completion rates for self-paced programmes sit in the single digits, because a 21-year-old sitting alone with video lectures has no accountability, no peers, and nobody to ask when they're stuck at 11pm on a bug. The students who most need the training are the ones least served by a format that assumes they'll self-motivate through eight months of it.\r\n\r\nSo we built the opposite. AccioJob runs in-person skill centres where students show up daily, learn alongside a cohort, and get corrected by mentors in the room, delivering 2x better learning and placement outcomes. We then run the hiring side ourselves: 50+ hiring drives a month across 500+ partner companies, so the training connects to an actual interview rather than a certificate."

"answer": "If we succeed, where you studied stops determining whether you get a shot at a tech career.\\\r\n\\\r\nWe believe strongly about the idea that employability will shift towards skills over degrees, towards capability instead of credentials. AI adoption in every domain of work will need human talent to be upskilled and reskilled. That’s the opportunity we are building for.\r\n\r\nEvery learner would think of AccioJob Skill centres as trusted institutions in their city which could help them with career guidance, personalising their roadmap, industry relevant actionable mentorship, being part of a professional community, structured upskilling programs, employment opportunities.\r\n\r\nConcretely, that means skill centres in every Indian city with a tech hiring market, not just the four we run today, and a placement record that companies trust enough to hire from without a separate screening round."

Classrooms with teachers came about in the 17th century as Europe aimed to democratise education. Exams are tools that aim find the correlation between your score and how good you'll be at a particular job, for example being a doctor or an engineer. Multiple-choice questions were invented in the early 20th century to allow objective grading at scale.AI advancements allow us to better educate and evaluate students.Right now, most exams are multiple-choice, but , we expect to see more sophisticated grading systems using AI, including more essays and interviews. For instance, testing future doctors will still require knowledge-based exams, but we’ll also need to assess qualities like empathy and decision making. We see Educato as a leader in not only providing solid prep for current exams but also adapting to these future, AI-enhanced evaluations."

We’re both Oxford math grads, have tutored for a decade, and we’re creating the future of learning which will be entirely 1-on-1.\n\n[Launch Video](https://youtu.be/Ec8Nwe0EaSU)\n\n# ❌ **Problem**\n\nWith AI that’s so great at math, why can’t it teach at near-human quality?\n\n* Math is handwritten ✏️\n* Math has to be practiced not read 🧮\n* AI is rubbish at spotting _your_ mistakes 🔍\n\n# ✅ **Solution**\n\n* Freeform writing on a whiteboard app ✍️\n* Accuracy of a calculator with symbolic logic 🔢\n* Real-time feedback on every stroke (< 300ms) ⚡\n\n# ⚙️ **How we do it?**\n\nWith tens of thousands of lines of Python and Wolfram Language code. Writing on an iPad, we convert the stroke data to LaTeX, parse it, ask a million symbolic questions about it with reference to the problem’s _ground truth_ (the lines with a blue index), and assess whether it is right, wrong or something in between.\n\n\n\nWe do **not** rely on the vibes of a language model to assess the details of their working - too slow and unreliable. Many students give up on LLMs for genuine collaboration when they mislead them on topics the student finds difficult.\n\n**We can handle a lot of math already.**\n\n\n\n# **💡 Core insight**\n\nWe tried all the AI tutor desktop formulations we could imagine, but beyond the obvious interface challenge, AI is exceptionally poor at spotting the subtle mistakes students often make. LLMs are great at doing correct math, but much worse at pulling out an error within the many lines of messy student reasoning.\n\nWe started performing a symbolic analysis of the student’s working as context for the AI to boost accuracy - **but then we realised we could give this straight to the student.** This was when we started to feel the magic.\n\n# **🙏 Our Ask**\n\nSo far, _every_ single teacher we’ve demoed our iPad app to in person has immediately started work greenlighting a pilot.
