We help solar utilities to generate extra $200k per plant income on $10k spent using our software, by preventing 700 faults per year.\r\n\r\nWe have a platform which reads live data (current, voltage, weather parameters) from a solar plant, runs algorithms to decouple various factors for the underperformance and provides recommendations to fix it. This data is 100% available for the large scale solar in the world just using software (e.g. APIs). \r\n\r\nProduct launch: https://www.producthunt.com/posts/heliocloud\r\n\r\nOur cloud software is being used by 40+ leading solar developers in Europe and Asia. We have analyzed 25+ billion of data points from over 3 GW of solar assets spread across the globe in the last 2 years. \r\n",

"tagline": "Landlord with Solar? Start billing tenants like a utility.",
"body": "# 🚀 Wand Solar — Bill Tenants for Solar Energy Like a Utility\n\n👋 Hi everyone! We’re Idan and Itai, co-founders of **Wand Solar**.\n\n## 🔥 The Problem\n\n**Solar wasn’t built for rentals.**\n\nToday, landlords invest in solar systems for their rental properties, but **tenants get all the savings**.\n\nLandlords pay tens of thousands upfront—and see no return. ❌\n\nWe spoke with dozens of landlords who installed solar on their house, but when they moved out and kept it as a rental, they had **no way to bill their tenants** and recoup their investment.\n\n<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CW7_9W_ZDmI>\n\n## ⚡ What We’re Building\n\n**Wand lets landlords bill tenants for solar energy—just like a utility.**\n\n* 💰 Tenants pay what they normally would for electricity (or less)\n* 🏠 Landlords finally earn from the solar systems they paid for\n* ⚡ Same utility line items and tariffs. Full transparency\n* ✨ Want to offer a deal? Set your own discount (e.g., 10%, 15%)\n* 💳 Tenants pay by credit card—just like any other utility\n* 🏦 Landlords get paid via wire transfer\n\n**_No additional hardware. No tenant disruption. Just new income from the sun._**\n\n**_You earn first, we only earn when you do_** - we charge 10% of the solar revenue you collect.\n\n## 🔄 How It Works\n\n1. **Add your property and connect your solar system -** just enter basic property info and link your solar setup.\n2. **We track solar usage in 15-minute intervals -** we measure how much solar energy your tenants use—accurately, throughout the month.\n3. **We generate monthly solar bills using your utility’s rates -** the bills reflect the same line items and tariffs your utility company uses.\n4. **Tenants receive transparent, familiar-looking bills -** nothing confusing—just clear, itemized solar billing that looks like a standard utility bill.\n5. **Tenants pay, you get paid -** tenants pay by card, you receive automatic transfers. You keep 90%, we take 10%.\n\n## 💡 Why We Built This\n\nBefore Wand, we built a DevOps startup together. But we wanted to work on something with deeper impact—something that could actually move the needle on climate.\n\nThen we saw this stat:\n\n**55% of electricity in the U.S. is used in rental properties.**\n\nYet solar adoption in rentals is almost nonexistent—because of the **split incentive problem**: landlords pay for solar, but tenants get the savings.\n\nIt’s a broken system. And it’s a massive opportunity—both for reducing carbon emissions and unlocking billions in untapped properties across the entire value chain.\n\nWe built Wand to fix it. Now, landlords can finally earn from solar, and tenants still benefit from clean, affordable energy. Win-win.\n\n🚀 [Use Our Solar Income Calculator to See How Much You Could Earn—in Seconds.](https://www.wandsolar.com/real-estate)\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=89699&key=user_uploads/1014551/e1089a7c-f5b5-494e-ab45-6ef4458b85d4)\n\n## 🏁 Ready to Boost Your Income?\n\n☀️ **Already have solar?**\n\n[Sign up now](http://app.wandsolar.com/signup) and **get your first month free.**\n\n_shoot us an email at _[_founders@wandsolar.com_](mailto:founders@wandsolar.com)_ after you sign up to claim it._\n\n🔧 **No solar yet?**\n\nWe’ll connect you with trusted installers—schedule a call or drop us a line \\*\\*[**here**](https://www.wandsolar.com/schedule-a-call).\n\n**Wand Solar — Utility-style billing for landlords with solar.**\n\nCheck us out → [www.wandsolar.com](http://www.wandsolar.com)\n\n📬 Questions? Guess what we found out?!**\n\n[Allero](https://github.com/allero-io/allero) is an open source (<https://github.com/allero-io/allero>) CLI policy enforcement tool that protects your production CI/CD pipeline. CI/CD pipelines tend to be messy, and there are so many variations of pipeline manifests spread across different repositories. This makes it difficult to ensure security, code quality, and compliance standards are in place in every pipeline.\n\nBy running Allero, you can easily reveal and prevent problematic pipelines across multiple organizations and repositories.🏁\n\n### **👩🏽‍💻Who is it for**\n\nYou are a DevOps engineer or a platform engineer responsible for CI/CD pipelines in your company. You have at least a few dozen pipelines, and they are complex as hell! You obviously spend so much time managing and maintaining them, which is a total nightmare. Why? because you need to ensure that the code they deliver is bug-free, not vulnerable, scalable, and ready for production.\n\n**We already found many problematic pipelines in open-source projects, and we are 100% sure there are many of them out there!**\n\n* [Medium](https://github.com/Medium/jupyterhub/blob/master/.github/workflows/test.yml#L141) - When using npm in CI, in order to avoid surprises in dependencies’ versions, you should always use `npm ci` instead of `npm install`\n* [Supabase](https://github.com/supabase/supabase/blob/master/.github/workflows/integration-tests.yml#L42) - When using `npm ci` / `npm install` without `--ignore-scripts` - you risk running unknown scripts injected by your dependencies - which may be malicious.\n\n**Are you sure you don’t have them as well? Go ahead and see for yourself** **with** **our** [**CLI**](https://github.com/allero-io/allero#%EF%B8%8F-one-minute-installation-to-run-allero-validation-on-a-daily-basis-most-recommended)**!**\n\n**Wanna help us out?**\n\nWould love for you to run our tool, and to hear your thoughts! During my years at Microsoft, I worked with lots of companies who developed microservices in the cloud. While microservices bring lots of advantages, they also come with a lot of complexity - as there are so many of them, often by the hundreds.\n\nHundreds of microservices means hundreds of delivery processes - a significant bottleneck with DevOps engineers. I witnessed developers ending up developing their own delivery processes (CI/CD), while the DevOps team owns the process organization-wise and provides guidance to developers.\n\nThis poses a huge challenge for companies (and in particular DevOps and Platform Engineers) to ensure CI/CD pipelines are up to security, quality and compliance standards.\n\nAs a result, companies are forced to allocate significant engineering resources to deal with incidents like data breaches, complex rollbacks due to bugs, long delivery times, etc.\n\n## 🤯 We solve it with one simple CLI tool!\n\n**Manage your deployment risks with us!**\n\n* ✔️ Simply query pipelines to ensure they are up to security, compliance, and quality standards, across the entire organization.\n* 📊 Gain visibility into your pipelines across multiple SCM and CI/CD platforms in one single tool.\n* 🏃 Simplicity is our thing. Just download the CLI, generate a token, and start querying pipelines.\n\n**For example:**\n\n* Verify that every pipeline implements Snyk / SonarQube / unit/integration tests. (or any other tool!)\n* Make sure binaries are not being published to the wrong destinations.\n* Get the top 10 pipelines that fail the most / are the slowest.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=64859&key=user_uploads/1014551/eae5776e-8ef1-4b8d-8b5c-49f1cda57bca)\n\n**Sounds interesting? Wanna try our alpha version? Check out our** [**Website**](https://allero.io)**,** [Sign Up,](https://www.allero.io/waiting-list) and start gaining trust in your code delivery processes again.\n\n## 🤝 Don’t have this problem but wanna help us out?\n\nWe would love to talk with Platform and DevOps Engineers\n\n* **Who work for companies that develop microservices.**\n* **With at least 150+ Engineering team.**\n* **Cares about having a healthy and secure production.**\n\nShoot us an intro email to [founders@allero.io](mailto:founders@allero.io)",

"tagline": "Jasmine automates common and confusing workflows, helping solar owners get paid!",
"body": "Hi YC! 👋\n\nWe’re Nathalie, Dalton, and Matt from Jasmine Energy. Today we are proud to launch our latest AI tool to help solar owners claim their incentives.\n\nThe U.S. solar market is booming. It took 50 years to reach 5 million installations—now that number will double to 10 million in just six. 97% of these are on residential and commercial rooftops, yet over 1.7 million homes are missing out on valuable Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) income. Why? Because REC (Renewable Energy Certificate) management is still manual, confusing, and built for utilities—not everyday solar owners. Jasmine Energy changes that. Our AI-powered asset manager puts registration, compliance, and sales on autopilot, making it easy to turn solar generation into recurring income—with just a few clicks.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=65777&key=user_uploads/421/1c122467-5767-4a4e-b073-e88acd17faf4)\n\n**TL;DR: Jasmine is the first end-to-end REC management platform built for residential and commercial solar. We automate common and confusing workflows—helping solar owners get paid extra for generating clean energy.** \n\n### **The Problem**\n\n**Claiming RECs requires too much overhead for small or independent developers. (it works fine for the utility scale developers who designed it)**\n\nResidential and commercial solar generators lose time and money navigating an outdated, fragmented system for managing Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs).\n\nThe industry still relies on paper, pens, and people. There’s no single source of truth, no standardized documentation, and no digital infrastructure to support efficient operations.\n\n* **Complex registry compliance:** Each generator must register with one of several regional tracking systems, all with different rules, document requirements, and verification steps.\n* **Manual data reporting:** Uploading generation data, proving eligibility, and submitting documents are tedious, inconsistent, and prone to error.\n* **Inefficient monetization:** Selling RECs means navigating opaque markets, unclear pricing, and a maze of disconnected brokers and buyers—without a unified platform.\n\n### **Our Solution – AI-Powered Automation for the Solar Industry**\n\n**Use AI to “read” details from PDFs and to interact with legacy government websites.** \n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=65777&key=user_uploads/421/c7d2bd40-b6eb-4064-b70f-120b3eeb1ea9)\n\nJasmine replaces the outdated, paper-based REC management process with an AI-powered platform purpose-built for residential and commercial solar generators.\n\nOur asset manager brings structure, standardization, and automation to an industry still running on spreadsheets and guesswork:\n\n* **Automated registration:** Jasmine handles the full lifecycle of registration, reporting, and verification across all major tracking systems—no paperwork, no confusion.\n* **Instant data processing:** Our AI ingests, validates, and submits generation data directly from inverters or utility portals to ensure RECs are accurately and efficiently issued.\n* **Transparent payouts:** Track your REC sales in real time and get paid faster, with full visibility into pricing, status, and transaction history.\n\nJasmine turns a fragmented, manual process into a seamless, digital experience—so solar owners can focus on generating power, not paperwork.\n\n### **Key Features**\n\n📝 **Automated Asset Registration** – Jasmine handles onboarding your residential or commercial solar system into the appropriate REC tracking registry, eliminating paperwork and manual errors.\n\n✅ **AI-Powered Data Validation** – Our platform connects to your inverter or utility portal to automatically validate and submit generation data in real time—ensuring fast, compliant REC issuance.\n\n📈 **Transparent Reporting & Analytics** – Get a clean, centralized view of your REC portfolio: generation history, earnings, sale status, and payout timelines—all in one dashboard.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=65777&key=user_uploads/421/e3f34226-de05-4e49-a60f-b4b95d079cfc)\n\n### **Market Opportunity**\n\n* **5M+ solar systems in the U.S.** eligible for REC sales.\n* **$5B+ annual REC market** that is growing as corporations push for sustainability goals.\n* **85% of small-scale generators** don’t currently monetize their RECs due to complexity.\n\n### **Who We Are For**\n\n🏠 **Home Solar Owners** \\\nEarn passive income from your rooftop solar—no spreadsheets, no stress. Jasmine fully automates REC registration, reporting, and sales so you can **get paid fast** for the clean energy you’re already producing.\n\n🏢 \\*\\*Commercial Developers & Independent Power Producers (IPPs)\\*\\*\\\nManage RECs across portfolios of solar assets with zero friction. Jasmine scales with your business—automating multi-site registration, streamlining compliance, and optimizing REC monetization from start to finish.\n\n🤝 **Third Party Owners & Origination Teams** \\\nThird Party Owners (TPOs) own many thousands of small solar generators. Each site has the compliance overhead as a single utility scale facility. Jasmine helps third party owners seamlessly register and track hundreds or even thousands of small distributed generators quickly and accurately.\n\n### **Our Ask**\n\n**If you have solar:** \\\nUse the product! You can upload your solar documents and claim your incentives TODAY -> <https://assets.jasmine.energy> \n\n**If you don't have solar:** \\\nIntroductions: Know a homeowner, business with solar, or a local solar installer? Refer them to Jasmine! Here’s a quick blurb you can share: \n\n_\"Jasmine Energy automates Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) management for residential and commercial solar. "body": "**TL;DR:** Jasmine makes it easy to claim, buy, and sell renewable energy certificates.\n\nHi Everyone! [Nathalie](https://www.linkedin.com/in/nathaliecapati-energy/), [Dalton](https://www.linkedin.com/in/tdaltonc/), and [Matt](https://linkedin.com/in/matthewmayberry) here to (re)introduce [**Jasmine Energy**](https://jasmine.energy/) 🔋\n\nOn Jasmine, anyone can claim, sell, buy, and retire [energy attributes](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Energy_certificate) directly.\n\nEnergy attribute certificates (EACs) (sometimes called Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) are a $10B market that is stuck in a time capsule from the fax machine era. Today's EAC market is confusing and time-consuming, taking weeks to register and days to trade.\\\n\\\nWe are on a mission to accelerate the net-zero transition by building climate asset markets that are accessible, transparent, and efficient.\n\n**💢 The Problem**\n\nRECs are a valuable source of revenue for renewable energy generators and are worth up to $500/MWh! The problem is EACs are still traded using phone calls and fax machines. The whole process is confusing and time-consuming, taking weeks to register and days to trade. Middlemen currently keep up to 30% of trade value. \n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=73943&key=user_uploads/89898/29c68bd5-72fe-4072-86fc-e6d3b32cc819)\n\n**🤝 The Solution**\n\nOn Jasmine, anyone can buy and sell EACs at a posted price, permissionless, with settlement in seconds. \n\nJasmine helps users manage their renewable energy assets by bridging RECs onto the blockchain and enabling DeFi transactions that are impossible in the existing markets. When a tokenized EAC is retired, Jasmine handles regulatory filings and auditing (filing paperwork, making phone calls, etc).\n\nJasmine provides the infrastructure to make every step of the buy and sell side process more efficient and transparent, allowing renewable energy generators to make more money, enabling commercial buyers to have a verifiable audit trail of their energy consumption, and giving energy traders the tools to operate more efficiently.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=73943&key=user_uploads/89898/1700472b-a8b3-49b3-8eac-f0bb4076432b)\n\n**♻️ How does this directly help the climate?**\n\nUnder business as usual, we're not going to build enough global clean energy capacity to hit our 2050 goal of (1) electrifying the economy, (2) decarbonizing the electricity grid, and (3) improving people's quality of life by expanding access to affordable electricity. \n\nA more liquid EAC market will make renewable energy projects less risky to finance, attracting new investors to accelerate the grid’s decarbonization. We’re bringing those EACs onto the blockchain not just for the transparency and liquidity benefits, but also because DeFi will quickly generate the financial derivatives to further incentivize project financing.\n\n🙏🏻 **Asks**\n\n* Engage with us on [ProductHunt](https://www.producthunt.com/posts/jasmine-energy) today! 🐱\n* Use RECs to make your company 100% renewable\n* Intro us to large generators and/or large buyers\n * Utility and nonutility generators (NUGs)\n * Renewable energy builders\n * Climate asset traders & brokers\n * Builders in the climate and crypto space\n * ESG offices & officers\n\n**Come join our communities and use our dApp**\\\n\\\nHomepage: <https://jasmine.energy>\\\nDiscord: <http://discord.gg/qsumZWzkC5> \\\nTwitter: <https://twitter.com/jasmine_energy>",

"title": "Spark AI: Stakeholder Intelligence for Data Center Permitting",
"tagline": "See who decides your permit, and how they'll vote, before you break ground",
"body": "Hi everyone, we're [Julia](https://www.linkedin.com/in/wu-julia/) and [Anuj](https://www.linkedin.com/in/anujsaigal/), co-founders of [Spark AI](https://www.sparkhq.ai/).\n\n### **TL;DR**\n\nSee who decides your permit, and how they'll vote, before you break ground\n\nEvery data center in America has to get through a local zoning board before it gets built. We mapped and tracked every jurisdiction, project, and land use regulation in the country, and we just launched Stakeholder Intelligence, a tool that tells you who's deciding your permit, their voting history, and what's likely to happen next. **If you're developing (or powering) data centers, or know someone who is, we want to talk.**\n\n### ❌ The Problem\n\nData centers land next to real communities: people who didn't ask for a giant, humming building showing up in their backyard. A lot of them fight it.\n\nThat fight runs entirely through local politics: county boards, township councils, zoning authorities. Real people with real voting histories, some of whom love solar and hate data centers, some the reverse, and it shifts constantly.\n\n* Data centers are having the roughest time of any large-scale asset class right now. 42% of gigawatt-scale data center projects announced in 2025 have already run into a local moratorium, suspension, legal challenge, or permit denial. That's not an edge case anymore, it's closer to a 50/50 bet.\n* And it's accelerating. Within six months of announcement, \\~24% hit that same wall in 2025, nearly triple 2024's rate (8%) and more than triple 2023's (7%).\n\nFederal and state policy get all the coverage. But the actual bottleneck on AI compute buildout sits in a Tuesday night meeting in a county most people can't find on a map, and almost nobody tracks it systematically. Developers either fly someone out to sit through hours of public comment, or they pay consultants a lot of money to tell them what already happened last month.\n\n### ✅ How Spark Works: Stakeholder Intelligence\n\nStakeholder intelligence surfaces every board member, commissioner, officer’s past decisions, meetings and votes from our databases and web search agents running across the country.\n\n<https://youtu.be/-YclcbrBUh8>\n\n**We watch the game tape for you.** For every authority in the US, you get the meeting video, the transcript, the decision, and our summary of what actually mattered. Topics covered, who said what, what got decided. What used to take someone three hours of watching public comment now takes about thirty seconds of reading.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=113436&key=user_uploads/307611/076af213-dd78-4d58-acf8-c249244260cb)\n\n**NIMBY tracking.** We score every county in the country on data center permitting posture: moratoriums, zoning rules, sentiment grounded in local news coverage, and utility interconnection posture. That rolls into a tier and a score, so you know before you sign a lease whether you're walking into a fight.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=113436&key=user_uploads/307611/21ab4ec3-c751-4de6-845a-2cef9e732d7c)\n\n**Alerts.** Ordinances change, moratoriums get proposed, projects move. We tell you when it happens instead of you finding out from a headline.\n\n### Backstory\n\nJulia grew up in and around factories, in the supply chain corridor between Asia and Latin America, before building data and search infrastructure for Apple's Siri team. Anuj spent a decade financing and building energy infrastructure, at the Department of Energy, SunEdison, and EVgo, before founding his last company, Dataherald (YC W21).\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=113436&key=user_uploads/307611/870f82a4-1496-4bc2-b433-a69d13c8ea24)\n\n### Who We Work With\n\nAlphabet (Intersect), NextEra, DE Shaw Renewables, Nodiac, and a set of world class developers and Fortune 500s carrying over 200GW of pipeline between them.\n\n### How You Can Help\n\nIf you or anyone in your network is developing data centers, large or small, we want the intro. We're especially trying to connect with people close to Terawulf, Vantage, Equinix, CyrusOne, and Digital Realty.\n\nReach us at [founders@sparkhq.ai](mailto:founders@sparkhq.ai). "body": "### TL;DR\n\nWith [Spark AI](https://www.sparkhq.ai/), developers can instantly identify permitting requirements and fatal flaws in seconds, not weeks.\n\nWe have parsed more than 1 million zoning, permitting, town hall meetings, and project documents. Our systems ingest PDFs, maps, land use codes, moratoria, interconnection queues, and local websites across thousands of jurisdictions.\n\n### Permitting is the silent killer of energy infrastructure projects\n\nAn estimated $98 billion in projects were [blocked or delayed](https://www.datacenterwatch.org) in Q2 2025. A one-month delay on a 60 MW data center can [erase $10M in value](https://www.foresight.works/case-study/foresight-driving-projects-blind). Speed to power determines who wins in data center, storage, and generation.\n\nCritical information lives inside thousands of scattered, inconsistent zoning codes, permits, and local records. Teams miss high-potential sites, waste months on weak ones, and get outpaced by competitors.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=96116&key=user_uploads/129719/ac5a347e-6cae-406e-8867-a98f5d8cd5ba)\n\n### Enter Spark: De-risking Speed to Power\n\nSpark pulls everything into one place and makes permitting intelligence instant.\n\nSpark scans millions of PDFs, maps, land use codes, and local websites to surface permitting rules and community sentiment. What used to take weeks now takes seconds. The same engine evaluates individual parcels or entire data rooms.\n\nhttps://youtu.be/6wvFwUNPrks\n\n**Rapid Permit Matrix 📄**\n\nWe run the permitting gauntlet for hyperscalers, energy developers, and BESS operators at a fraction of the cost and time.\n\nSpark generates a complete permit matrix that captures the legal, procedural, and social landscape of any site. Developers move faster on strong sites and eliminate weak ones early.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=96116&key=user_uploads/129719/867df1aa-ea4b-4b25-96a1-003942873b64)\n\n**Social Media Sentiment 👥**\n\nLocal opposition begins online long before public hearings. Grassroots groups and Facebook communities shape the approval landscape months in advance.\n\nSpark tracks social media activity across every U.S. county for solar, storage, and data center projects. Users identify relevant groups, engagement patterns, and sentiment before the first meeting hits the calendar.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=96116&key=user_uploads/129719/75434906-6ad4-48ab-83f0-4740c6350b2b)\n\nDon’t just take it from us: We’re trusted by dozens of industry-leading developers representing over 90 gigawatts of project pipeline and $30 billion in financing: Cypress Creek Renewables, Standard Solar, Arevon, UGE ([case study](https://sparknotes.beehiiv.com/p/from-bottleneck-to-breakthrough)), DESRI, Dynamic Energy ([case study](https://sparknotes.beehiiv.com/p/dynamic-energy)), and many others.\n\n### Core Team\n\nOur founding team, [Julia Wu](https://www.linkedin.com/in/wu-julia/), [Anuj Saigal](https://www.linkedin.com/in/anujsaigal/?utm_source=sparknotes.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=ai-for-a-mission-recruiting-post), [Luca Marturana](https://www.linkedin.com/in/lucamarturana/?utm_source=sparknotes.beehiiv.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=ai-for-a-mission-recruiting-post), [Wendell Beane](https://www.linkedin.com/in/wendell-beane-21861712b/), [Shivam Agarwal](https://www.linkedin.com/in/shivam-agarwal-77604ab8/), combines years of leadership in AI and energy.\n\nWe come from Apple, Microsoft, SunEdison, the Department of Energy, and multiple YC startups.\n\n### Our Ask\n\nWe’re partnering with developers and operators building the future of compute and energy. "tagline": "We help large-scale clean energy developers break ground faster",
"body": "**😎 TL;DR**\n\n[Spark](https://www.sparkhq.ai/) is an AI-powered planning and workflow tool for large-scale clean energy developers that lets them break ground faster. Tae and Julia were previously engineering and product leaders at Tesla, Apple, and Brex.\n\nWe are trusted by award-winning solar and battery developers with nearly 1 GW of projects across the US. If you are a utility or community-scale developer, [book a call with us](https://calendly.com/d/4qp-yyt-qxw/spark-demo) to learn more.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=78596&key=user_uploads/129719/b48282f6-7002-4eba-92e9-dc5307a6c58e)\n\n**🔌 The Problem**\n\nWe are in the midst of a generational energy transition, with solar deployment expanding at an annualized rate of roughly [$500B](https://twitter.com/patrickc/status/1698496805162353029) globally, and the Inflation Reduction Act unleashing another [$400B](https://www.mckinsey.com/industries/public-sector/our-insights/the-inflation-reduction-act-heres-whats-in-it) in federal funding. To meet the soaring demand for clean energy, the US must [build](https://www.motherjones.com/environment/2023/04/electrify-everything-scope-data/) an equivalent amount of clean generation by 2035 to the total electricity supplied by all sources today.\n\nDespite this rapid deployment, utility-scale clean energy developers often spend months assessing and preparing their projects for financing and construction due to varying policies, interconnection, and permitting requirements across jurisdictions. This pre-construction phase is an error-prone and manual effort of researching and aggregating data across thousands of PDFs, websites, and maps.\n\nMany developers find themselves poring over 1000-page documents, engaging expensive consultants, or focusing on a limited number of jurisdictions.\n\nThrough hundreds of conversations with developers, we consistently hear that navigating this \"complex patchwork of jurisdictions, where every state is a snowflake,\" is a major obstacle.\n\n**✨ Enter Spark**\n\nWith Spark, developers can identify requirements, risks, and incentives by leveraging our curated dataset. They can now screen prospective projects in seconds, not weeks.\n\nFor the first time, Large Language Models (LLMs) offer a dramatically simplified method to extract grid interconnection and permitting requirements, zoning ordinances, economics (rates, tax credits, RECs), and a range of unstructured information relevant to renewables development.\n\nBy refining the data specifically for this industry, Spark introduces a new way for developers to navigate through otherwise disparate and cumbersome information.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=78596&key=user_uploads/295458/976413d4-584e-44fd-8c6e-315509d4c9de)\n\nThese insights are then precisely mapped to individual counties and parcels of land, accelerating the development process significantly.\n\nHowever, Spark’s capabilities extend beyond location diligence and requirement aggregation. Our goal is to re-imagine the development workflow, enabling developers to drastically reduce the time dedicated to mundane tasks such as research, documentation, and portfolio management.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=78596&key=user_uploads/129719/550c9a08-294e-4944-9369-649919faca48)\n\nOne of our customers, an industry veteran with nearly 20 years of experience, said “I see this tool as my Jarvis.”\n\nOur mission is to empower developers to prioritize human interactions and make strategic decisions about where to invest millions of dollars to electrify the nation’s grid — not the manual, back office work.\n\n[🪄](mailto:founders@sparkhq.ai) **The (Dream) Team**\n\n[Tae](https://www.linkedin.com/in/taehnkim/) built software while sitting inside the Model 3 factory at Tesla, wrote payment systems that processed millions in EV sales as a founding engineer at Lucid Motors’ commerce team, and helped Gen Z find love at Tinder.\n\n[Julia](https://www.linkedin.com/in/wu-julia/) was an engineering manager on the team that automated fraud alerts and dispute filing at Brex. She also built search and cloud infrastructure at Apple and Microsoft and bankrolled her passion for crypto through hackathon prizes on nights and weekends.\n\nHailing from São Paulo, Brazil, where we lived ten minutes apart after our parents immigrated from Korea and China, we embarked on our American dream at 18 for undergraduate degrees in STEM at Georgia Tech and Brown University. Our paths crossed many years later in New York City, through a shared passion for software engineering, infrastructure for society, and startups.\n\n**⚡️ Energized yet?**\n\nAre you (or do you know) a developer of utility or community-scale solar/storage projects? "title": "Dataherald - NL-to-SQL API for developers",
"tagline": "Embed NL-to-SQL into your product",
"body": "**TL;DR**\n\nDataherald enables you to embed Natural Language to SQL (“NL-to-SQL”) into your product. The NL-to-SQL API, built with an LLM (such as GPT), allows users to conduct no-code data analytics, pull reports, and conduct complex data queries using just natural language.\n\nHi, we’re [Amir](https://www.linkedin.com/in/amir-zohrenejad-72a517184/) and [Anuj](https://www.linkedin.com/in/anujsaigal/) from [Dataherald](https://www.dataherald.com/contact). There have been countless game-changing applications of AI, but one area that has remained uncharted is NL-to-SQL. But fear not - we’re changing that. We’ve built a cutting-edge NL-to-SQL engine, meticulously crafted to be the fastest and most accurate in the market, delivering an unmatched developer experience!\n\n**The Problem**\n\nDevelopers struggle to build NL-to-SQL into products because LLMs do not work out-of-the-box. LLMs do not:\n\n1. Utilize metadata and business definitions since they are not already stored in the relational database\n2. Conduct **complex** SQL queries, such as self joins, multiple sub-queries, or rarer operations like windowing, partitioning, lags, temporal calculations, etc.\n3. Create NL-to-SQL training dataset(s) for fine-tuned models\n4. Assess the accuracy of AI-generated SQL\n\n**The Solution**\n\nDataherald’s API solves these challenges by allowing developers to:\n\n* Add business context from various sources (data dictionaries, DBT, Confluence docs, Google docs, etc.)\n\n![](https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/kwye-PT4ors7WmWLdm5AjZN5oprn0XXX2v4i_PkCIYwRvilZ-fixK_9wJGHJo9PU1rjv99kBgEVCB1YX58DYO3HCeNoQlHqLcdURUilLhsYcdiDTVEVcd8DZCrt_1EeHYd-zkjWUukA6I8Ka8epVBCc)\n\n* Identify relevant data tables\n* Fine-tune NL-to-SQL LLMs **(including GPT-4!)** specific to their data\n* Assess confidence levels in AI-generated SQL\n\nAll this happens with a few simple API calls.\n\n![](https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/6LVhL2Hbyga7oQ7mGDNORds_IMhmA5oBbrjNjKl4Y3L3rECk4WozWzJQY8jS16X6j9ZGgW-5p1fVqt6flbiZfR138EpYhUmcH9btyJL1ky_y7EIlQ5lEQUYVVVzfzDkjlfDU88y_0mJwDRbMgXWug9M)\n\nDataherald’s NL-to-SQL API unlocks data access wherever needed:\n\n1. Enabling Complex Data Queries in SaaS Apps: For example a large payroll software company uses Dataherald to embed NL-to-SQL into their front end so that users can ask questions like “How much did I spend on full stack engineers in our European offices in Q2 2023 and how is that trending?”\n2. Democratizing Data Insights: Companies integrate our API into Slack, enabling self-serve data requests, and freeing up valuable time for data analysts.\n3. Automate Customer Support with Chatbots: Customer support teams dealing with data-heavy queries leverage Dataherald in chatbots, automating inquiries regarding user data.\n\n![](https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/rsI_mjIShLSNZBuwGtOKk8k8Fv0f8rUEjItn0w17y-_rps3jWcWNgvQ6C9Ly9EFxszG7jE3c5DLS_T9lcEiHwYD0Z1nvXNgHB3-qFRAOJM6XL6B0w19JQt_esYJm7qqp6Tg2U1Jh9QvHlWGdohmzUZ4)\n\n**The ASK**\n\n* **Start using today** - send me an email [anuj@dataherald.com](https://mailto:anuj@dataherald.com) to get your API key and start using it today!\n* **Share** - tell your colleagues and friends about [Dataherald](https://dataherald.com/)\n* **YC Companies** - skip the wait list and claim the [YC deal](https://bookface.ycombinator.com/deals/2135) \n* **Open-source engine** is available on [Github](https://github.com/Dataherald)",

"body": "### The TL;DR\n\nRather than waiting hours or days, business users get answers to complex data questions in seconds – all in plain English. Dataherald’s AI-powered natural language to SQL agent gives you answers, fast. It’s like having a data analyst on standby 24/7.\n\n👋 Howdy! - we’re [Amir](https://www.linkedin.com/in/amir-zohrenejad-72a517184/) and [Anuj](https://www.linkedin.com/in/anujsaigal/); we’re building [Dataherald](https://dataherald.com/). We’re on a mission to enable anyone to get answers to their data questions immediately. No longer do you have to click through dozens of BI dashboards or “wait on the data team” to get the answers you need.\n\n### The Problem\n\nWith an ever-increasing volume of data, businesses have invested heavily in BI tools with the aim of providing answers to data questions. These tools often fail to handle complex data queries, leading to a backlog of **ad hoc questions** for the data team, inevitably creating a bottleneck.\n\n**The Data BI “Doom Loop” —** Dashboards inevitably fall short in answering certain data questions, leaving people waiting.\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=73999&key=user_uploads/307611/9c21d382-337a-4bcf-9d06-27be4cd90a5f)\n\n### The Solution\n\nBusiness users want answers to their data questions in the most natural way possible - by simply posing a question in plain language and receiving a response in the same natural language format.\n\nDataherald cuts through the noise, providing quick answers to complex data questions, all in plain English. "body": "Astro uses AI to find and buy land for new renewable energy projects, secure agreements to connect them to the power grid at minimal costs, and then sell these development-ready projects to larger energy companies.\n\n**The Problem**\\\nThe renewable energy transition faces a critical bottleneck: the US needs to add 2,000 gigawatts of new power generation by 2035 to support growing electricity demand from AI data centers and electrification. Building these new power plants requires finding suitable land and connecting them to the grid - but this is where projects fail. Most potential locations are unprofitable because developers discover too late that they need to spend millions upgrading power lines and infrastructure for grid connection. Traditional energy developers spend months evaluating single locations, only to have projects die when they discover these hidden costs.\n\n**The Solution**\\\nAstro’s proprietary AI models predict these grid connection costs upfront, enabling it to buy the most profitable land before costs increase. Astro’s models handle all the early development work - from finding the right location to securing grid connection agreements - creating a pipeline of development-ready projects that larger energy companies can immediately start building.\n\n**Backstory**\\\nI’m Alex, I studied physics + computer science at Stanford and was an energy trader at Citadel. While trading energy markets, I discovered that power grid congestion patterns are highly predictable - but developers aren’t using this data. This insight led me to build models that identify the best land to buy and prepare for larger developers to build on.\n\n**Ask**\\\nWe’re looking to connect with:\n\n* Energy companies interested in buying development-ready projects (land secured + grid connection approved)\n* Landowners and brokers near major transmission lines in central Illinois\n* Power systems engineers with interconnection study experience\n\nIf you’re interested in accelerating the clean energy transition or have expertise in any of these areas, I’d love to chat! You can reach me at [alex@astroenergy.ai](mailto:alex@astroenergy.ai)\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=87853&key=user_uploads/89898/f2583845-46e4-471f-8932-1fbc09d4e105)\n\n",

We have designed a new type of solar farm micorgrid that is palletized, lightweight, and deployable. Our system autonomously builds 100kWp of capacity per day and is easily scalable to MWs of capacity which is a size currently only serviced by slow moving and at capacity EPCs. \r\n\r\nAs demand from data centers, advanced manufacturing, and electrification strains existing power infrastructure, the ability to deploy substantial generation quickly is becoming increasingly valuable and unavailable. We are the only company that services utility-scale power needs in weeks. ",

"body": "Hey YC, we’re Joseph and Kaan.\n\nWe’re building **Energy Superintelligence: swarms of coordinated AI agents to operate energy infrastructure and data centers, carrying out work across entire organizations.**\n\nEnergy is one of the bottlenecks to scaling intelligence. Our vision is agents coordinating humans and other agents to operate, maintain, and build energy infrastructure worldwide, with applications extending to data centers.\n\n<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uDH6pMn5OE>\n\n**How we got here**\n\nWe reached out to roughly 5,000 people in energy and had over 400 conversations. The same problem kept appearing: people were manually connecting fragmented data, investigating faults, and coordinating work across departments.\n\n**What we’re building**\n\nOur engineers work inside energy companies to map their data, workflows, responsibilities, and operating procedures. We combine that knowledge with an energy-specific ontology, giving specialized agents a shared understanding of the business and procedures they can follow. We see the same opportunity in data center operations: connecting equipment, maintenance procedures, suppliers, and on-site teams so agents can coordinate real work.\n\nThe system we’re building connects four things:\n\n1. **Onology:** equipment, telemetry, documents, contracts, and people in one connected model.\n\n ![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=116072&key=user_uploads/2057026/a14398e1-34a7-4399-a75f-c2ce6eb631c3)\n\n2. **AI Employees:** agents use different tools, correlate evidence across assets, and review each other’s findings. \n\n ![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=116072&key=user_uploads/2057026/70610c1d-cc3e-4c13-a96e-38a1acc6777f)\n\n3. **Physical execution:** agents coordinate interventions with humans, incorporate field observations, and verify production recovery.\n\n ![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=116072&key=user_uploads/2057026/7c425af9-22cb-44ec-9da9-dd79ce445a54)\n\n4. **Sofware builder:** We allow technical and non technical builders to build on top of the platform. creating visualizations, agents, ML models, all using the data of the platform and centered intelligence.\n\n ![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=116072&key=user_uploads/2057026/8abcc1a0-1a6d-44cf-8da9-74dbef23944d)\n\n\nOur ambition is coordinated agents at every critical infrastructure company in the world, helping produce more energy and accelerate intelligence.\n\nWe believe **Energy Superintelligence is a necessary step toward ASI.**\n\n**The founding team**\n\n_17th of December 2026 - YC Mountain View_\n\n![uploaded image](/media/?type=post&id=116072&key=user_uploads/2057026/a7dc00e4-7377-4136-8b3e-a57e081e523b)\n\n* **Nicole:** our first hire; black-hole physics, Max Planck research with Nobel laureates, and surgical robotics at Harvard Med.\n* **Menelaos:** led TUM ai E-Lab; Siemens and TUM ML research.\n* **Nicolas:** previously built and raised for his deeptech startup; leads GTM with Joseph.\n* **Simon:** EX JetBrains, leads product and agent systems.\n* **Pietro:** Leads FDE, Early hire at a startup that raised $30M.\n* **Vishisht:** Cambridge & UPenn Research; first hire at an a16z-backed startup.\n\nWe’re deployed Autonomously across **\\~2 GW**, signing two of the largest utilities in the world, with interest from **30+ energy companies**. And are woking with partners that have over **50 GW**\n\n**Our ask:** introductions to operations leaders at utilities, energy asset owners, O&M companies, and data center operators, especially in the US.",
